Focus on Your Focus Friday

Focus on Your Focus Friday: What you think about expands. Think with power, energy and passion about exactly what you want to expand in your life. Want more clients, want more money, want to attract your soul mate, want a deeper personal relationship and connection with God? FOCUS. When you focus and segment intent that which you want, you will create an environment that rises up to give you that very thing.

Quick example: I attended a women's networking event last night. I was talking to a friend just before entering and I told him that I was going to win a prize. Sounds simple and innocent right? Well, my expectancy was set. And when it was time for the door prizes, I focused through the power of intention on the prizes that I wanted to win. I won a travel pillow - which is so cute and extra soft (perfect for all the time I spend on a plane or train) and I won a 1 hour massage, yum! Just before each of those prizes were given away via drawing, I clearly with power, energy and passion spoke, "This is my prize," and wouldn't you know it, I won each of them. (Now, I forgot to mention that there were two different drawing for which I entered) but you get the point.

Focus today on exactly what you want and will it to come your way by shifting your mind, speaking it with authority and believing that it is already done.

Fight the FEAR Friday - Darnyelle A. Jervey

Today's thought: Let's shift your mindset about FEAR today. FEAR - Fights Every Alternative to Reality. Fear is futuristic. Instead of concerning yourself with what might happen, (many spends hours upon hours talking themselves out of what they know they should be doing because they think that maybe someone will reject them, etc) Stop yourself self-doubt and fear in it's tracks by doing that which you are afraid of and see what actually does happen. Trust me, it will be much better than you thought and you can learn to consistently fight fear - a powerful skill. A skill that will translate into significant productivity lifts to grow your business and life.

Think Big Thursday - Darnyelle A. Jervey

Today's thought: If you desire to have something different, you've got to put positive energy and BIG thoughts behind it. You have to fight for your dream by thinking BIG, acting BIG and making BIG decisions that facilitate the growth you desire to see. Remember, God doesn't give you BIG thoughts to taunt you, He gives you BIG thoughts to show you where you can go if you commit to doing the work.

Walk it Out Wednesday - Darnyelle A. Jervey

Happy Walk it Out Wednesday. Today, I have one radical thought for you. Why not walk as if everything will go right, exactly as planned and work in your favor? In my PACE Method (r) I describe in detail the principles of an enthusiastic expectation.

"Expect great things and great things will happen." Mary Kay Ash

We spend way too much time in fear...assuming that the outcome is going to be less favorable. But there is no evidence to support that thought process. So today, Walk it Out Wednesday, walk as if all is well. Actually, it IS well.

How would your life change if today, you worked and walked like what you desire to do is already a success?

Prevent Your Incredible Factor From Being Stranded - Darnyelle A. Jervey

As I mentioned in my weekly e-zine, The Incredible Factor, as I returned from my 10 day Mexican paradise, I found myself stranded....Yes, stranded, with our first flight delayed by an hour, our flight back into the US couldn't wait for us and we wandered from representative to representative for 3 hours before someone finally took ownership for the error made by the airline and helped us.

Durin this time, some of us on the journey were becoming frustrated. Some of us, our energy was spent. Me, I remained cool because my Incredible Factor focuses on things I can control and lets others control those things that I can't. That's right, I made lemonade with my fresh Mexican lemons. Did it suck, sure. But what could I do, except heighten the situation and help those who didn't help not want to help because I was upset, yelling, uncompromising?

Maybe you've found yourself in a predicament a time or two where you've felt stranded. Your hands were tied; you couldn't alter the outcome on your own and maybe you didn't respond like I had. Maybe you got frustrated, maybe you yelled...maybe

To help you going forward protect the integrity of your Incredible Factor - your Brand, allow me to share a few powerful tips with you.

S - Stay calm; allow yourself to focus on what YOU can do to improve the situation. (Be positive, add value)

T - Take as many deep breaths as needed to center yourself and shift your negative energy to positive life affirming energy. Remember the Law of Attraction - your thoughts (good or bad) become things...being upset can prolong your condition.

R - Reaffirm who you are and speak boldly that everything will work out. I kept saying that over and over....and guess what it did...we were on a flight to Miami and all was well....

A - Always be accurate. Ensure that you do not fabricate the facts in a heightened situation doing so questions your integrity because you know the truth and it can not have the affect on those attemtping to serve you during the altercation.

N - Notice your surroundings; you never know where your next client will be...I met a Dr from the Bay Area in the airport and she and I are having a chat next week on how she can benefit from having a life coach - Sidebar - your Incredible Factor is always working; be ready. Now if I was yapping angrily and yelling do you think I'd have been able to set up that meeting? Not even as good as I am would I!

D - Decide to remain calm; everything in life is a decision. Decide that getting upset will not serve anyone but yourself and your Incredible Factor was created to serve others. Even in our errors, we (others) deserve to be respected.

E - Escape negativity. When you are traveling with others who become negative, walk away or hold your tongue. Remember what you speak about you bring about. Your delay may be extended just because you jumped in while your partners in crime were badgering others or talking about how they thought the situation is going to play out: "They're never going to fix this in time, we're going to be stuck here." Trust me, hold your tongue - life and death is in it.

D - Do express gratitude at every turn. Maybe the delay is truly working in your favor....be grateful for everything that comes your way...it will shift your mindset and enhance your Incredible Factor.

If this seems far fetched for you, maybe a life coach can help you find the balance to minimize stress in your life. Maybe....

Is Your Incredible Factor in a Holding Pattern? Darnyelle A. Jervey - Speaker, Coach, Author

I flew to and from Atlanta this past weekend to deliever a new workshop, The Incredible Factor. I had a blast and the small but mighty group of women got just what they needed in those 4 hours to produce a mindset shift that would allow them to turn their passion into profit. Each of the ladies has reported a significant shift giving themselves permission to Own their Incredible Factor.

On the way to and from Atlanta, we were delayed because of the weather. Essentially, we were in a holding pattern. We were unable to modify the current events, we were foced to wait. While people around me were frantic for one reason or another, I sat peacefully...what quickly entered into my heart was that "delay is not denial." Afterall, I was coming back to my home in Delaware...just a little later than I had expected but I was okay with that....I believe that we should focus on what we can control, not what we can't. I remember one particular gentlemen. He was livid. Mad about the extra 45 minutes of "down" time, he scoured at the airline attendants at the gate. Sometimes, for reasons we cannot comprehend, we get delayed. Instead of embracing the delay because it is working in our favor, we become belligerent and produce a negative emotion that attracts more of the same in life and business. That, Incredible One, is what they call a holding pattern.

What I've realized in working with a few of my business coaching clients and traveling for speaking engagements recently is that many people have somehow gotten their Incredible Factor stuck in a holding pattern. Bottom line, they are stuck. They've been doing what they've been doing and settling for the results they've been receiving. They've not gotten clear on their value and their ideal client and as a result they are stuck, fearful, unsure, confused...holding for a change to come but completely unaware of how to usher in that change.

The universe can not restore your Incredible Factor and turn your passion into a profit until you get clear by releasing yourself from fear, guilt, confusion, inauthentic activity and lack of integrity.

What are you holding on to that is preventing you from getting what you want? Is it control because you fear that a cleaning lady can't clean your toilets as well as you? If you want to play big, learn how to pay someone else $5 to $100 so that you can do what must be done to Unleash Your Incredible Factor. I believe that we should focus our attention on IPA's - Income Producing Activity and the last time I checked having to sort the mail, clean the toilet, even organize your desk wasn't paying big.

When your Incredible Factor is in a holding pattern, it cannot produce the reward for those whom you serve. Take a delay that is not self-imposed as a blessing, sit peacefully and clarify your purpose and intent of what to do when the delay is over. And more importantly REST. Most of you work too much anyway, so a few minutes with no plans might actually lead to a mindset shift that can make the time you are working more productive...how would more productivity enhance your Incredible Factor?

If the delay is self-imposed, seek help immendiately. Find out what is causing the holding pattern. Regardless of its intent, a coach will be able to refocus your energy to lift the delay and get you back on your way to fulfilling your purpose and serving others with your gift.

Is Your Incredible Factor Authentic? - Darnyelle A. Jervey - Coach, Speaker, Author

One thing I can't stand is fake people. We all know them, they are all over the place. They as I say are people who sing in the choir....everything is "me,me,me,me,me" Can't you see right through those people?

Oh, I hope that you are not one of them....sorry but it's time that you stop singing that solo and start to invite others to be a part of your experience by positioning your Incredible Factor authentically.

Your brand, your product or service, your gift is a reflection of the best or worst of you....and if you don't spend time Inspecting the Incredible...you may miss the mark on ensuring that your marketing and branding efforts attract more clients and lead to the quantum leap you wish to experience in your business.

As a coach, I have a recommendation that can help you. Get to a quiet place without the distractions of your world - no tv, radio, blackberry, Ipod, etc. Just you, your heart and a notepad. Take a few deep breaths to center yourself and clear your mind and pallet of all that was happening in and around you.

Repeat after me: I am offering an authentic gift to the marketplace which is loved, purchased and enjoyed frequently.

Then the work begins: ask yourself a few poignant questions and answer them from your heart space, fully centered on your Incredible Factor - the gift you offer the world.

1. What three words do you want your gift to invite the world to experience?

2. What three words would others (previous clients, etc) use to describe how your gift makes them feel?

3. Are those three words consistent with what your Incredible Factor means to the world?

4. How can you make modifications that tap into the core of you and reflect your gift in its purest, most authentic form for others?

Struggling to answer these questions and relate them back to your gift? No worries, I will be introducing a solution to you real soon. In the meantime, get a F.R.E.E. copy of my CD - how to Use Your Incredible Factor to Quantum Leap in Life and Business. It's changing lives, you should be next. Oprah, Naomi and the Incredible Factor - Darnyelle A. Jervey - Speaker, Coach, Author

Recently, I was watching Oprah and she had SuperModel Naomi Campbell on the show. Naomi talked of many things that have transpired in her life but what stood out the most to me was:
1. She had a desire to find an inner peace and beauty that matched her outer beauty. (Her Incredible Factor)

How many of us could say that this is also what plagues you? There was definitely a time in my life when I could - about 8 years ago to be exact. To the outside world, much like that of Naomi's , I had it going on but inside, where it counts, it was dark, desolate and scary. I was afraid of truly becoming that which I really desired to be.

So what changed?

I got to know the lover of my soul and in that process many things about myself were revealed. The most important of them, that I am Incredible and that there is something about me that makes others want to be, do and have more just because they heard me share from my heart - my Incredible Factor. That I am real, authentic and that I care about empowering others, that I am more than enough and that I was given everything I need to success in my life at birth...I did the work to know me, love me, appreciate me and become the me I was created to be. Ms. Incredible One.

You are greatness. You are powerful. You are beautiful. You are a gift to the world. You are More than Enough.

As I watched Naomi, what I really think she was saying is "I want to know my purpose." I found myself wanting to encourage her, to let her know that she is already who she desires to be. She must give herself permission to be herself. I wanted to tell her how beautiful her soul is and how she is not her past and that because she has made a non-negotiable decision to stop giving her past permission to speak, it will stop. I was so proud of her transparency and honesty that she wants more in her life - a deeper meaning, a purpose alignment, the Incredible Factor.

So what does all of this have to do with all of you?

Many women feel what Naomi discussed on the show - the time is now to live your dreams and identify your purpose but many have no idea how to make it happen. Many are in jobs they hate and want desperately to get it but they are allowing the economy to be their reason to stay. Many have a hidden passion, one that will enhance the lives of others but they are too afraid of what might happen if they REALLY do what they have been secretly praying for. Many lack the knowledge of how to achieve the next level in their life, career, business and need direction to make it happen.

I'd like to help. Your purpose is your reason why. I can name counteless successful people and less often than you might think do they say, "I want to make a boatload of cash." What they say instead is "I have a dream, I know my purpose and I want to add value to the lives of others using my business to fund and expand it."

When I am doing a coaching consult often the "thing" the potential client says is missing from their life is money. Let me be clear - it's not the money, its what the money can do to help you live your dream and purpose....Big Difference.

I'm so grateful to start each new day elated that my purpose, my gift, is bigger than me and all I have to do is surrender in obedience to the laws of the universe. Incredible....

I've got a treat for you. If you go right now to http://www.incredibleoneenterprises.com you can get a F.R.E.E. Good Morning...Heartache?! Darnyelle A. Jervey - Speaker, Coach, Author

Before you give me a "what you talkin' 'bout Willis" look, let me explain. No, I'm not fresh off of watching Mahogany or listening to Diana belt out the lyrics to the song that many sing morning after morning with a connotation different than the one from which I write today.

On this Walk it Out Wednesday, I have a question for you. When you think about your gift (what you alone were created to do for this world,) does your heart ache for those who need it?

I mean, really. Stop and think as I share something with you. Mine does. I am delighted to greet each new day in excitement and with splendor oozing out of my pores. I am always in awe of what God is up to in my life. I start the day in gratitude and then recite many affirmations as I move to visualizing what I am expecting from the abundant universe in which I live. But many wake to discontent and confusion over their life prupose. They get up to go to jobs they hate but can't quit for fear of how the bills will get paid. They dread the morning commute and take a long time getting out of the car hoping that maybe one of the kids will be sick and they will have a reason not to enter into the walls that bind them to an existence of mediocrity.

Oh, how my heart aches for you. I mean, I being honest. I know how you feel. I use to feel the same way when I felt trapped in Corporate America. But what I found is that by defining and unleashing my Incredible Factor (my secret sauce, my special God-given gift) I could breakdown, breakout and breakthrough to the life I was created to live!

Am I talking to you this Walk it Out Wednesday? I want nothing more than for you to realize that who you are was not created for lack, scarcity or doubt. You were created for more than enough. A passion for work that feels more like play. A passion for the meaningful.

And it is still possible for you.

I'm releasing details real soon for Incredible Factor 101, my new empowerment challenge to prepare you for the life of your dreams. If you want to be included, got to my website and register for our weekly Ezine, The Incredible Factor. Visit now, http://www.incredibleoneenterprises.com

Never Under Estimate the POWER - Darnyelle A. Jervey, Speaker, Coach, Author

Never Under Estimate the POWER....

... of Vision - Without vision the people will perish. It's not about what you see it's about what you can't yet you know that it exists in abundance.

... of Prayer - Pray without ceasing when you are praying, you are not worrying.

... of Gratitude - it is when we live in gratitude that we experience true abundance

... of Intention - focus invites a shift that will take you to the deepest levels of growth and development and uncover your Incredible

...of Eliminating your life of toxic people - Incredible SNATCHERS come to snatch your dreams and confidence, what value can come of that?

...of Dreaming - a dream is a coming attraction for what God has in store for you.

...of a Plan - if you fail to plan, I can almost guarantee you that you will fail. It may seem like it's taking forever but remember, it's not forever, it's just for now.

...of Passion - passion means to pass i(t) on. Sharing your hearts desires with others elevates their life as much if not more than it elevates yours.

... of Service - we exist only to add value to the lives of others and to give thanks.

... of a Hand Written Note - people may forget many things, but they will never forget when you make them feel Incredible

...of the Tongue - life and death really do reside here...choose your words wisely.

...of Letting the Past Go - stop giving your past permission to speak. Enough said.

...of Purpose - when you realize why you are here, the real magic of life begins.

... of Determination - I've never read a guarantee that life would be easy...but I know that it will be worth it.

... of Failure - failure is feedback; if you are not winning, what have you learned to turn it into a win the next time?

...of the Incredible Factor - the wo(men) ought to pause, stop, stare when you walk into the room. As the Isley Brothers sang, they should be clamoring, "Who's that Lady?" If they don't, contact me so that I can show you how to activate the Incredible Factor in your life and business so that clients, business, growth, development become a mainstay in your experience.

...of You - you were born with all that you need to exceed in life. Unleash your power and watch the Incredible transform your life into a new creation, fully functional and expounding in God's grace.

Get to Steppin' - Darnyelle A. Jervey, Speaker, Coach, Author

"We spend way to much time talking about and no time walking toward what we want in life."

What would happen if you actually began to walk toward what you want to bring into your life?

How would your life be different if your dream was not a figment of your imagination but within a few strategic steps?

What one small yet Incredible step can you take that would allow you to keep walking toward your goal?

I'm looking for a few walkers...a few who will commit to walking with me toward what they want....No Matter What. I guarantee that life will happen but those who want to walk with me will commit to the non-negotiable decision to keep walking despite the obstacles that present themselves. Remember, the only difference between a stumbling block and a stepping stone is how you use it. Will you take the Road Less Traveled with me? I love that Robert Frost poem. When you walk with me, it will make all the difference.

I know that 86% of you will allow your fear of failure to stop you dead in your tracks. I'm talking to the 14% of you who are ready to get what has been earmarked and reserved for you.

I'm lacing up my shoes now...are you?

1. Get clear on what you desire to bring into your life...complete a life description...
2. Write down your vision - 10 goals for your life on index cards to create flash cards that you will review each day.
3. Start each day in gratitude, powerful intenting and affirmation.
4. Determine the one, powerful, meaningful first step and create an action plan in preparation to take it.
5. WALK - There's a poem called Come to the Edge....when you come to the edge, I will push you and watch you grow your wings, land safely and walk into your destiny.

If you want to walk with me, complete a coaching consult request form on my website http://www.incredibleoneenterprises.com

Focus on the Deposits - Darnyelle A. Jervey Speaker, Coach, Author

"Focus on the Deposits, not the withdrawls." Darnyelle A. Jervey

Today is the last day of the 1st quarter of the new decade. How was it for you? Before you answer me, know that I don't want to hear all of the problems or setbacks you suffered. Why is it that when others ask us to "weigh in" on our progress, we immediately go to a place of deficit? YOUR PROMISE IS BIGGER THAN YOUR PROBLEMS. Now that you've shifted, what Incredible things happened for you this quarter?

When I am coaching a client, I always start each session by asking, what one exciting/good/Incredible thing happened and what are they most grateful for since our last session. Why? Because I don't want them to focus on the withdrawls of life.

Unfortunately, until you make a Non-negotiable decision that you are looking at life through incredible eyes, you will experience the fact that what you think about expands. I stopped watching TV because everywhere you turn the media is so focused on painting a picture that will depress you. Those debilitating thoughts of the economy, etc will keep you in a state of paranoia, wondering if your job will be the next to go. If you think like that, the thought will expand and you may find yourself counted in the unemployment statistic....Everyone seems to be focused on what we don't have...a strong economy, a booming real estate market, but WHAT ABOUT WHAT WE DO have - the deposits - HEALTH, STRENGTH, A HOME, A CAR, LOVED ONES, NEEDS MET. Sure, I could fix my mind around each of those things, which do not impact me and become discouraged, BUT I have chosen instead to focus on what I do have and can continue to enjoy in my life. Everything that you need you have it...it was deposited in you before you were formed in your mother's womb.

Don't you get bad news everyday? People are always trying to tell you what you cannot do, who you cannot be, what you cannot have. ENOUGH.

I have one simple question for you: What do YOU want?

Do you want the deposit or the withdrawl?

If you're thinking like I want you to think, you want the deposit, so I have a few quick painless tips that will help you to focus on the deposit so that you can invite more deposits into your life.

1. Minimize the amount of input you allow others to put into your experience. For example, If all you do is sit in front of CNN (or other news channel) all day, you are probably a pretty dismal individual. What value is CNN adding to your life? Life is not to be lived constantly looking over your shoulder or afraid to take the next step in your life or career/business.

2. Get clear on what you want and what it will take to get there.

3. Spend a minimum of 15 minutes each day doing positive life affirming activities: affirmations, reading something motivational, meditating, setting goals, developing a plan, writing in a gratitude journal, etc.

4. Hire a coach to help you to size it up and help to hold you accountable to the plan to begin focusing on the deposits.

5. Take a deep breath and as you exhale, picture your life as if you only experience deposits.

How does that feel?
I bet it feels Incredible!

It Aint Easy Being Green - Darnyelle A. Jervey Speaker, Coach, Author

I know, I know you see the title and you think, "Come on, Darnyelle, Kermit the Frog, really?"

Well, not exactly. Although today is the day after St. Patrick's Day and I was extremely busy yesterday, I wanted to write my blog based on what hit my heart this week. As a coach, I am blessed to work with a lot of amazing women. I also meet new women every week by completing coaching consultations with them. An overwhelming theme this week was feeling different, alone, like no body cares. If you feel this way, let me give you hope: I understand how you feel. There was a significant amount of time in my teens and 20's that I felt the same exact way but what I found is that when I sought mentors and embraced my differences and realized that I was born Incredible, everything in my life began to change.

For me it started when I sought my purpose and decided to live with passion. That led to my attitude changing and my confidence increasing and easily, as if fitting me like a glove, I began to expect Incredible things to enter and affect my life.

And so it was. You see, by giving up the desire to be like others and embracing who Darnyelle is and was created to do for this world, I realized that my color was purple - the color of royalty, after all I'm a child of the King. I quickly left green behind and followed my heart to a place that has elevated me to a level that is indicative of Big thoughts, Big Dreams and Bigger results, which will lead to a different shage of green, the green with dead presidents embedded.

The same is available to you.

If you are feeling anything like I use to feel, you may find yourself green with envy when you see others doing what you desire to do, getting the breaks you have been praying for and as a result, you get angry and become even more introverted. It's not easy being green - whether green is envious or different; however, when you embrace who you are and what gifts, talents and abilities you were born with, it makes it easier to love the you looking back at you in the mirror.

I use to spend my time mimicking those who had it going on. It wasn't easy. I mean seriously it was hard to try to get my hair the same exact way or to find the same exact outfit that they wore so effortlessly....I got very tired, real quick. I came to this not so startling revelation with the help of some powerful mentors and coaches (before I even really knew what coaching was) You were born an orginal, but being green will make you a copy...

what would change in your life if you focused as much attention on your dreams and desires as you focus on those of others?

We often only see or think of what glitters but my grandmother use to say, "everything that glitters ain't gold."

I invite you to embrace who you are. Get to know yourself. Get to a quiet place and reflect on what you've been given that makes you an original. It may not be easy being green, but it will be a lot easier being you.

If you are ready to stop being green and ready to play Big, Bold and get what's been earmarked and reserved for you, there's some FREE goodies waiting for you at http://www.incredibleoneenterprises.com.

Get Your Hand Out My Pocket - Darnyelle A. Jervey Speaker, Coach, Author

Do you remember the movie Malcolm X? At the end, when they had finalized their plot to kill him, they got the ruckus started with a man standing up and saying "Get your hand out my pocket," in a loud and charasmatic voice.

When I began to think of what I wanted to blog about today, I thought of that movie and what that meant to me. Your pocket is a symbol of possession and possession is often tied to money or lack there of. If you happen to have an unhealthy relationship with money, your pockets are probably empty.

When it comes to healthy relationships, whatever we love, honor and respect creates a foundation for relationship success. i mean think about it. Think of you boo...you love him/her right? On what foundation is that relationship based? Honesty, integrity, trust, collaboration, etc I could go on and on....The same must be true of your love affair OR emotional rollercoaster with money.

Many people are caught up in a mindset that money is evil. But let me be clear, money is not evil....an obsession of money that alienates others is evil. And that obsession could be positive or negative. If you are so caught up in what you don't have that it stifles you, you are obsessed with the very thing you don't have and that can be constrewed as evil.

As the Bible says, you cannot serve two masters. I am not suggesting you serve money, quite the contrary. I am suggesting that you understand the reason why money exists and develop a healthy understanding as to why you need it in your life.

Again, let me be clear. You need money, as do I. Money gives us choices, and when you invite the shift of how to look at money and how respecting money for its purpose can allow you to live in a space that is the opposite of lack - abundance life can truly begin.

1. Complete a Self-Assessment of what you think of money. Is it healthy or unhealthy? When you were growing up, did you live with people who constantly said, "I don't want to be rich, I just want to get by?" Did you constantly tell yourself and others, "It's not about the money; I don't need to be rich?" That is not the abundance that Jesus died for and you are entitled to. How do you feel when you have money? How do you feel when you don't? Do you have healthy spending habits? Are you always saying I'm broke? Are you upset or jealous when you see others with money? These are unhealthy traits that are affecting your ability to have a great relationship with money.

2. Be honest with yourself. Own it and then prepare to change what needs to change to develop a healthy appreciation for money. What do you need money for? Why would money be a blessing to your life? Who would you be able to help if you have more than enough money?

3. Develop a relationship with a coach to help you to change your mindset and create an alignment that speaks to the abundance to which you are entitled.

4. Give. By giving, you attract money to come back to you. I give away $1 a day by hiding it in a place that someone will find it and be blessed. $1 won't break your checkbook but it will change your financial picture. Don't believe me...try it for yourself. Don't make it about you. Just arbitrarily hid $1 and know that your generosity will bless some one else. I know that the law of reciprocity is at work when you freely give of the abundance that has been given to you.

Be Incredible...it's already in you,
Darnyelle

You're Blind Baby - Darnyelle A. Jervey - Speaker, Coach, Author

I think it was Public Enemy who rapped the song, "You Can't See"...I woke up this morning and as I reflected on how grateful I am to be here experiencing so many Incredible things, I thought about each of you. In the song, Flava Flav and Chuck D sing "You can't see what I can see, you're blind baby, blind to the facts." And before you get mad at me for calling you blind, let me explain what I mean.

It's the first Walk it Out Wednesday in the last month of the first quarter of the new decade. Many of you got excited about the new year and set Big goals yet you can't really see them manifesting in your life. Many of you do things just because it seems cute or so that you don't stand out like a sore thumb. But you do stand out because you are wandering aimlessly through your life trying to do this and that without vision and purpose.

Stop.

Today, I encourage you to begin to give yourself a check up from the heart up - what is your life description? (similar to a job description, but for your entire life) What do you want for your family? Yourself? Your Career? Your Marriage or Relationship? What is that one thing that you want to be able to go to your death bed saying, but I did it?

If you keep meandering through life without a vision and a plan, you are blind. You may see others achieving and get jealous about what they have. What it seems like they are doing somehow appears to be exactly what you want YET you refuse to create a plan for the vision so that you too can enjoy it.

We live in an abundant universe and there is a generous portion waiting for you when you begin to see. What's holding you back?

Heller Keller says, "there's nothing more pathetic than a person with sight but no vision." Einstein says "imagination is more important than fact." Proverbs says, "without vision, the people perish."

You will die if you don't begin to see.

Open your blinded eyes and for the first time this year, See. See who you are. See whose you are. See that you are bigger than your problems, See that you are a solution, see that anything is possible. See what is possible for you and then write it down. Check your vision by creating a written account of what you desire to bring into your experience.

Join us tonight at 6 pm EST for step by step coaching on your Check Up from the Heart Up. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/aimwd or 347.324.5086.

Don't Get It Twisted - Darnyelle A. Jervey, Speaker, Coach, Author

As I began to write this blog and selected the title, the song that immediately popped into my head was Beyonce's "Irreplaceable." In a part of the song, she says "you've got me twisted." Another song I thought of immediately after that was Keith Sweat and Cut Klose's song titled, "Got Me Twisted."

Why does any of that matter. Well today, I want to share tips for those of you who are twisted in some way about who you are, who you are to become and what you were created to do.

When I say twisted, what do I mean? Confused. Bamboozled. Unworthy. Fearful. Unfulfilled. Sad. Existing instead of living. Surviving instead of thriving.

I was at a networking event a few weeks back and I was talking to a gentleman and telling him what I do. He was very intrigued and he asked if I have a lot of clients who are willing to admit that they are twisted or confused on their purpose. I told him yes, I do meet a lot of women who require skills, strategies and solutions to untwist their purpose to give their life meaning.

That really stuck out to me. Many women don't admit their hurt and pain, they suffer in silence because they feel that "nobody knows the trouble I've seen." Another song, guess I'm feeling the music today. The key here - I can stop and dance because I am clear.

What stands out to me more than anything is that so many women as so busy surviving each day and taking care of everyone else, going to work to put food on the table, crying themselves to sleep because they are completely unfulfilled and nobody cares about their needs that they are consistently twisting themselves into knots that are not being untangled so that they can be released to enjoy life.

John 10:10 says that God sent His son that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Please tell me which definition of abundance calls for twisting and entanglements. If I am speaking to your spirit right now, STOP.

Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Stop. Take a deep breath of integrity and be honest with yourself, you are twisted, conflicted and confused about many things most of which is your purpose. But there's hope. It can change as soon as you let it.

1. Get to a quiet place and repeat these words until you feel a calm and peace overtake you: I'm sorry, please forgive. I Love you. Thank You. You are not only saying these words to yourself, but you are also saying them to the creator of your soul for mismanaging the gift He gave you.

2. Answer this question: Why am I twisted? Unfulfilled? Suffering in silence? - be honest with yourself.

3. Make a Decision to get untwisted. Hire a coach, set up an action plan and get to work. As soon as you make a non-negotiable deision the untwisting begins.

4. Celebrate yourself each day, big or small, celebrate. It's the little things that add up to the unassailable difference.

5. Never look back. Most of our twisting occurs because we focus on the past. As I say, "Stop giving your past permission to speak." If you are in a place that you don't want to be, acting in haste may not resolve it. Build a bridge, make an exit strategy and get to your destiny place.

It may not be easy but I guarantee it will be worth it.

So don't get it twisted, get clear and focus on you. Even on an airplane the flight attendant tells you to secure your mask before helping those traveling with you.

Repreat after me:
I am beautiful. I am God's creation. I was created for a purpose. I was created for abundance. I'm worthy of love, respect and "me" time. I deserve to be fulfilled. I am Incredible. I desire to be clear about who I am and how to live a fulfilled life and I am ready to get what I need to make it a reality and not just words that sound good.

Be Incredible,
