How Bad Do You Want It?

"You can have anything you want in this life if you are willing to do the work to manifest it into your experience." Darnyelle A. Jervey

As I begin this Walk it Out Wednesday's blog, I have one question for you: How bad do you want it? You've been talking about doing it for quite some time. It's been on your goal sheet, vision board, you've shared it with your co workers, yet it is still undone. So I ask again, how bad do you want it?

I meet people everyday who have a dream or desire that they want to come into fruition (so they say,) but if nothing changes, nothing changes. They want it but they haven't begun to work at it or they start it but then get stuck....If you want something bad enough, you will move heaven and earth to get it, won't you?

I was at the top of the MK game but I wanted more. I had just finished my 2nd Pink Cadillac, a time when I should have felt fulfilled and ready to conquer the world, but I was empty. I had given all I had to complete that goal because someone else wanted it for me. How many goals have you completed because of someone else? Immediately following that, I spent some time "Inspecting the Incredible" and during that introspective process, I realized that I had a dream that wasn't being exercised because I was living someone else's dream. Don't get me wrong, I love Mary Kay Ash and her Incredible legacy which gave me the tools and belief enough to dream so big that in and of my own strength it might not be possible. In fact, it was because of Mary Kay that I looked inward and realized that Darnyelle's dream was not much different than Mary Kay's had been, but the manifestation of Darnyelle's dream was significant and it required significant action to make it happen.

You see, from day one of creating my company Incredible One Enterprises, I was clear. I wanted it bad and I was willing to do the work to make it a reality. From reading daily, studying quotes, writing books, practicing my skills, becoming a certified life coach, writing a business plan, building relationships, writing curriculums, I was clear. I wanted it bad. I had spent a lot of my life working to build someone else's dreams and for once, I was going to build my own.

That was the end of 2007. Just two short years later, I am pleased about the places my vision have taken me but I am clear that this party has just gotten started. because I want it bad, my work is speaking louder than the words that I speak. I've had a stellar year and I know that I haven't even begun to shine like the star I was born to be....and I want to help you do the same. I had perfected some strategies that have taken my clients to their next level within the first 3 months of working with me as their coach. I have watched audiences transformed right before my eyes because of the tools and tips I impart to define and unleash the Incredible within...

How bad do you want it? If you answered "bad, real bad." Contact me for a FREE 15-30 minute coaching consultation so that I can assess your situation and prepare to help you to set up the plan of attack that it will take to make it happen. Being willing to make an investment in your dream is the only way to make it a reality. We are dawning on a new year, the year of divine order, wouldn't it be Incredible if your dream fell into the divine order of the universe?

"When you want it bad enough, you will make a non-negotiable decision to do what it takes to make it happen." Darnyelle A. Jervey

Put More in You than On You

I recently heard a comment that stopped me dead in my tracks...."Today, people are entertainment minded instead of achievement minded." I stopped and let those words sink into my spirit and suddenly it made sense. We are more concerned with the latest and greatest and what this performer, actor, actress, etc is doing with that one than we are for our own ability to achieve our goals in life.

I was saddened as I continued to consider the possibility of the truth of that statement. As the CEO of an empowerment firm, of course this notion goes against everything that I do, everything that I believe but there is validity in the statement; people put more on them, than they put in them. It's a fact. I don't even know if we realize it. Say I (or any other motivational speaker) was having an empowerment event on the same night that your girlfriends were in from out of town and wanted to hit the club. Maybe you had intended to come to my event, but because they felt that there money would be better spent if they were "dropping it like it's hot," you relent and go with them to the club. There's not much fulfilment in making that choice, but countless make it every week. And more over, they don't even care....

What does it matter if you have the latest and greatest clothes if you haven't achieved a goal you set for yourself in 1 year, 3 years, 5 years or more?

I am in prayer that people will start to put more in them by:
1. Spending 15 minutes a day reading something empowerment in nature. Do you realize that if you read just 15 minutes a day, over 2 years, you will have the ability to increase your income substantially based on what you have been reading? 15 minutes a day equates to a minimum of 26 books a year.
2. Instead of listening to the radio when in the car, listening to a CD that will add value to their life - a previous sermon from your pastor, a motivational speaker's cd or a book on cd, which can be rented from the library.
3. Reappropriating their entertainment budget so that some of the budget can be used to solidify goal achievement and invest in themselves instead of material possessions.

This holiday season buy your children a book in addition to the video game; spending time reading together instead of watching television, focus on giving them something that can add value to their life instead of just entertaining them...they will thank you in the long run.

Be Incredible,
Darnyelle

The Seed of Ungratefulness

Today, I don't have a special quote for you....today I want you to be honest with yourself and in authenticity, I want you to simply ask yourself one question: "Is there anything that I am ungrateful for that may be the root of my current situation?"

What I know for sure is that you cannot conquer what you refuse to confront and if you want to live from a space of gratitude 365, 24/7, you must identify, acknowledge, own and change your disposition by changing the seed.

I know this is an interesting spin on the eve of Thanksgiving but I sometimes feel that Thanksgiving is a very cliche holiday. I mean people are bound everyday of their lives because they are not honest and open to change yet on one day, magically, they celebrate the things for which they are grateful....I believe that everyday that I open my eyes is Thanksgiving; I do not wait until the 4th Thursday of November to express my gratitude to God, friends, customer, clients, etc. I share as it happens, live and in full effect. If you have been following me, you also know that I spend a minimum of 5 minutes before my feet hit the floor each morning in gratitude....grateful for everything...big, little, small, seemingly insignificant...grateful for it all.

While conducting a group coaching session recently, I posed the question above to my clients and I was impressed and grateful for their authenticity. They honestly shared what in their lives they are not grateful for....my follow up question was, what are you going to do to change that? I ask the same follow up question to you...

As always, I have a few points that can change the Seed of ungratefulness in Your life to a fruit ripe for the harvest....

1. See the ungrateful - Deliverance or the uprooting of bad seed starts first when you see it. My favorite book makes it clear that without vision, the people will perish. If you cannot see what you do not like about your existence, you cannot alter it in anyway. Life is far too short to be living in a space of ungratefulness but so many people wear blinders from the truth and just meander in mediocrity day after day...

2. Take Responsiblity for the ungrateful - again I say you can't conquer what you are unwilling to confront. And by confronting, I mean taking ownership of your mess...there will never be change if we act as if we are perfect and our lives don't stink....

3. Make a decision to change the ungrateful - make a non-negotiable decision that whatever it is in your life right now that you do not feel grateful for, chnage it, get rid of it, dig up the foul ground....Be honest with who you are and decide that you are sick and tired of being sick and tired of THIS THING constantly rearing its ugly head on your life....Change happens as soon as you decide to change

4. Do something about the ungrateful. Don't just make the decision that it has to go, put it out! Take ACTION! Take authority over that thing and put it in the box to the left (as Beyonce' sings about in her song, Irreplaceable) Then of course you know what I'm going to tell you to do....BURN the BOX!!!!!

There are many things for which you can and should be grateful, in fact, you should be grateful for every experience, lesson, person, place or thing that comes into your life. Good, bad or indifferent there is a reason for it, get the lesson and move on in gratitude. Having an attitude of gratitude at all times makes you the cup and then you can control the overflow and make sure that you always have more than enough so that you can give freely unto others....

Be honest with yourself...What are you ungrateful for? Get the help of a Life Coach to dig up the foul ground, plant new seed and water that seed while they help you to wait on your harvest....

At Incredible One Enterprises, it is our goal to define and unleash the Incredible in you. We are bringing Incredible back. Our Burn the Box Coaching Program is transforming lives and enabling people to become an active participant in their success. They are getting Big RESULTS. We'd love to help you. The Power of Intention

"When you decide to focus intently on that which you want, you will unleash Incredible Power that wills it to happen." ~Darnyelle A. Jervey

Having just celebrated my 34th birthday on Monday and completing the "Inspect the Incredible" process on my last year and setting new goals and strategic plans for the next year, I began to realize that it has been as a result of the power of intention that I have achieved significant success over the past year. I am sure that I have shared previously that on my 33rd birthday, I declared that I was coming out of doubt, despair and anything holding my destiny captive and instead I was going to focus on taking calculated steps to achieve my dreams. You see, I became clear...clarity is key if you want to do the Incredible in your life. I've done everything I said I would this year and I am setting my sights on even more greatness in the year to come. Why not? Anything is possible through the Power of Intention!

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of being a speaker at the Women's Expo in Newark, DE and as I met people and stood at my table throughout the day, I was clear...my purpose for being at the expo was to empower the lives of women while also increasing my exposure and presence within my immediate marketplace. But, it wasn't about Darnyelle...it was about all the lives of the women I could influence through the power of intention....I can hear your brains churning...you see, when you DECIDE to do anything with clarity, you can have it if you are willing to follow it through with the words and actions that make all the difference.

Nothing happens until somebody thinks something: that thought becomes your words and/or actions and those actions become the habits that you create which define your character and ultimately affects your destiny. The Power of Intention says that you have decided on the path that must be taken and the object of your desire and you become positively fixated on it and through your thoughts, words and actions, you will it to be. Don't believe that it works, here's an example of it from yesterday's events.

I invited a friend, mentee and colleague to attend the event with me. I knew that it would be a great opportunity for her to connect with people in the area and share her business and make new contacts, but I also wanted her to see me at work so that as her business grows, she is ready to make it happen. Unbeknownst to her, the theme of yesterday's event centered around Shoes... The Steps to Success and the keynote speaker was Ruthie Davis...shoe designer to the Stars...at lunch Ruthie shared a lot of powerful intention with us as she told us her calculated story of her journey to defining and unleashing the Incredible in her life. The coupe de gras? Ruthie was giving away a $950 pair of her shoes from her Fall 08 line, her best seller, the Bolt.

Anyway, my colleague, upon hearing this became clear on one thing: she was winning those shoes. From the moment that she was made aware of the drawing, she spoke intently with power, passion, clarity and desire to have those shoes. She began to visualize herself wearing those shoes and the clothes she would buy to compliment her shoes (but let's be clear - the shoes are HOT!!! and can truly stand alone!). She began to speak in positive present tense acting as if she had already won the shoes...Are you getting this?

The way that the Power of Intention works is based on your clarity and your ability to operate from a place that says "I already am/have what I want." Every time someone in her presence spoke about the shoes, she politely told them that the shoes were hers. Needless to say, I'm sure because you are understanding the Power of Intention at this point, I hope. When the shoes were given away at just after 6 pm on last evening and Ruthie Davis held the winning card in her hand and proclaimed "Girl Power" Ruthie herself even paused when she read the name of my colleague's company....Power in Progress and when her name was called, she hopped up on the stage and simply pointed back in my direction to illustrate how suuccintly her ability to hone in on what she wanted to experience became a definite reality.

It's a simple example, I know but if it can work for her and a pair of $950 shoes, what can the Power of Intention do for you?

The answer, it can do anything that you want it to.

1. Think intently about that which you want, 2. visualize yourself as if it is already yours, 3. speak with power, authority and clarity confirming your desire and 4. watch the universe line up to give you want you want as you unleash Incredible power to get what you want from your life. We live in an abundant universe and you should demand your portion of that abundance NOW! No matter what it is that you desire. If you can see it , you can have it when you unleash the Power of Intention in your life.

5 Ways to Just Do it

For as long as I can remember, Nike has had the slogan 'Just Do It' and each of us recognize that slogan as a mantra of the wills. A desire to be determined to do something great, if you will, to do the things that we believe that we cannot do.

We have seen commercial after commercial where an athlete has accomplished an amazing fete because of the shoes they are wearing....and that got me to thinking. How Incredible would it be if we all pretended we were wearing Nike's each day and began to accomplish our goals with the same fevor as the athlete in the commercial? What if we stopped allowing fear to speak for us and instead choose for freedom to speak? What if we became so elated by the possibility of doing what we set out to do without fear that we just did it?

Just do it.

Many of us have what we would consider viable reasons as to why we must muddle in mediocrity....our family, we don't have enough time, we don't make enough money, nobody in our family has ever done that....STOP...."Excuses are the tools of the incompetent built upon monuments of nothingness and those who specialize in these will seldom amount to any more" (Unknown) ....if you pledged in college, you are familiar with these words, yet so many of us specialize in excuses day in and day out.

Again I ask what would happen if you got out of your own way, burned the box and did it?

Here are 5 ways that you can just do it

1. Believe in yourself

2. Make a non-negotiable decision

3. Study to show yourself approved

4. Speak only words that lead to positive, forward action

5. Take the first step...Martin Luther King, Jr says a variation of faith is taking the first step without seeing the staircase....if you follow the other 4 steps and believe in yourself (recognize that what others think of you is none of your business), make a non-negotiable decision (become fully convinced in your own mind that it can and must be done), study, by reading books and listening to audios in your car instead of the radio and speak what you seek in your life with power, passion and authority...you will be the victor and can proudly rock the Nike's of your choice because you will have done it!

As a Woman thinketh...

Like my favorite book says, "as a man thinketh, so is he." I love this scripture because it liberates me to recognize that I am who I say I am. I love that song by Lupe Fiasco "You are who you say you are, a superstar, have no fear."

I find it strategically interesting that he would use the words 'have no fear' in reference to who we say we are....Did you know that 365 times in the Bible God says "Fear not?" So what are you afraid of? Why do we allow people, places and things to define who we are rather than being who WE say we are?

When you stop living behind the shadow of fear of becoming who you want to be and long to be, everything will change. Trust me I know...I spent many years of my life as a people pleaser. One day, I woke up and I realized that I don't need validation from man and just like that, my attitude shifted and I began to focus on inspecting the Incredible so that I could become who I say I am, in authenticity.

I invite you to do the same this Walk it out Wednesday....Decide NOW to be who you said you will be....and Walk it Out, Incredible One...have no FEAR

Be Incredible,
Darnyelle

93 Days to Change

As of today, September 30, 2009, there are exactly 93 days left in 2009, the year of Manifestation.

How's it been for you?
Have you manifested anything new?
Have you carried over everything you claimed to leave in 08?
Are you still trying to figure out what you are here for?
Are you sick and tired of the financial stress and strain?

On the evening of my 33rd birthday (Nov 16, 2008), I declared this year my "Double and Triple for my Trouble" year and I consistently reinforced that each day during my morning "workshop" where I visualize and create the life I want via mental images and pictures. And I am excited to say, that this has been a Banner year; in fact, I am living my dream and experiencing all kinds of expectation and manifestation each day. What will happen for me today...Something Incredible because I have already taken the time to create it!!!

Now, without telling ALL of my business let me encourage you that 2008 was probably my worst year ever...everything that could go wrong did but you know why? Because I CHOSE to let it. That's right, we get to choose how life goes down. We can choose to be a victim of our circumstances or we can declare ourselves a Victor and walk into the greatness that we were born into. It may not be wasy; but it will certainly be worth it. Just one year later, look at me. Change happens as quickly as you LET it. That's right...get out of your own way.

Trust me, this is not just theory. I am speaking cold, hard truth and facts. I can clearly back up every claim I am making. In fact, anyone who lives from a place of abundance can corroborate my statement.

From what place are you living?

When you wake up, what do you tell yourself? What do you profess and visualize happening to you? When you wake up are you on top of the world or is the world on top of you?

There are 93 days left to make an IMPACT on your year to manifest what you want but you can only do that if you have the right "tools" to create the masterpiece.

Repeat after me...."I ,_____________, am about to change my situation. Because Darnyelle is going to share some Incredible information that will lead to significant transformation."

If you can get excited about transformation, contact me for a FREE 30 minute consultation to help you get out of your own way and walk into what is waiting for you: Your INCREDIBLE Life.

Have You Ever?

R & B Singer Brandy has a song that is called "Have You Ever," and the opening verse to the song begins "Have you ever wanted something so bad you can't sleep at night..." So on this Take Action Tuesday, I ask you the same question:
Have You Ever Wanted Something So Bad that You Can't Sleep At Night?

I am sure that you have, so I have a follow up question:

What Are You Willing To Do To Get It?

I have said many times that in order to have something you've never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done. I mean, come on, what is the point of dreaming if you don't really want the dreams to come true? Exactly. It takes a non-negotiable decision and a made up mind that the dream will become a reality. And then it TAKES ACTION. Ideas like and need speed so we can not dilly dally and procrastinate on our dreams. But so many of us do. You had a dream that began 5 years ago to write your book, and here you still only have the Table of Contents....what happened? You failed to launch because you have not learned how to make your dreams come true. A dream without a plan is nothing more than one of the 60,000 thoughts that you have each day that runs amiss. It's true that 90% of those 60,000 thoughts are the same old thing because many of us muddle in mediocrity and have no clue how to get out.

I FIGURED it out....

I use to want things so bad that I couldn't sleep at night but now that I know the steps to take to get what I want, I can sleep soundly through the night and operate in INTENTION to make it happen. I take deliberate ACTION on purpose, with purpose, promise and authority to live my dreams. Come on, is there any other way to live? Am I saying that I don't have challenges, no; challenges are a part of life. Those who have no challenges are in eternal rest. But I CHOOSE to see each challenge as an opportunity to LEARN to enhance my experience. Did you catch that I CHOOSE (that is taking ACTION)

Have you ever wanted to do the same?

What Would Happen If...

Hello, Incredible One!

I have one question for you:
What would happen if you lived your life on purpose each and every day? I mean, really think about that.

Okay, maybe three questions - smile:
If you were capable of designing your life based on your vision, what would it mean to you? What would it look like? Would it be worth getting out of your own way and deciding to be all that you know deep down that you can?

Many of us are downtrodden by life because of FEAR and the opinions of others. But I subscribed to you that what others think of you should not be of your concern. Unfortunately, because our own self-image has been distorted by others for so long, we struggle to get out of that box....But you know what I say....BURN THE BOX by learning how to Inspect and Attract the Incredible in your life.

I have an assignment for you....

Spend some time uncovering your authentic self by getting to a quiet place this weekend and ask yourself just two questions:
What do I want in my life?
Am I prepared to work on myself to get it?

Remember, everything you want in life is hidden behind everything you are not willing to do to get it.
Change your mindset, change your life.

Be Incredible,
Darnyelle

If you want something you;ve never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done.

Darnyelle is available to navigate you to success as your personal development GPS. One step at a time, you can become better, stronger, Incredible. For more information, visit www.darnyelle.com and complete a FREE coaching consultation.

Who is your Phil Jackson?

Michael Jordan was an incredible player. I remember that game back in 92 when he hit that three pointer at the buzzer, taking the last shot to win yet another victory. It was Incredible, my heart almost stopped as I watched in delighted anticipation. I can remember Michael turning toward the sideline and pointing his fingers at his coach, Phil Jackson.

Everyone who has accomplished something great has someone on the sidelines offering the strategic tips and plays that are going to make the difference as they play the game. Phil Jackson was Michael's. Who's yours?

Coaching and personal development is a fast growing industry. Today, it equates for approximately 3 billion dollars with estimated growth of 18% each year. That's huge. That means that more and more people are realizing the need to have someone help them to achieve their dreams. I personally believe that we can only get so far on our own and then we need someone else to come in and help us to win the game.

Again, I ask who is your Phil Jackson?

I have been a life coach since 2003 offering my clients success, tangible tips and strategic techniques to help them to see the Incredible and do the impossible in their lives simply by holding them accountable and guiding them through the correct approach or thought process for goal achievement. It has been extremely fulfilling watching the tiny little rose buds blossom into the most gorgeous roses that are fragrant and full of life.

Who is your Phil Jackson?

If you haven't found the answer to that question yet, may I suggest that you check out a great company who believes that "every woman deserves a coach?" Compass is a personal development direct selling company that sells affordable group coaching solutions to today's woman. Imagine a compass...the center is the spirit, north = self & life balance, east = money and career, south = relationships and west = health and wellness. Thinking about helping you to identify your Phil Jackson, may I share that Compass has assembled some of the most talented coaches in the country and Canada (including yours truly) to become representatives and coaches offering their personal touch to the company's coaching concept of Abundance Intelligence, which stems from the premise that you were born great. This philosophy is based on the premise and book written by Kim George (Coaching into Greatness), and she just happens to be the director of business development for Compass. The CEO Kim Fulcher is a woman of excellence who believes in you so much that she created an entire company and affordable coaching structure to assist you with your personal development in the 5 areas I mentioned above.

And in case you are wondering, yes, I am affiliated with this amazing company offering affordable group coaching as an addition to my empowerment firm, Incredible One Enterprises and my coaching program is aptly called the "Burn the Box" Coaching program because it is my goal to help you to define and unleash the Incredible in you by burning the box of limitations, excuses and fear in your life.

If you haven't figured out the answer to the question this blog is posing, with the help of Compass, I can become your Phil Jackson. I am now filling my next coaching class and for just $2/day, you can be added to the team roster. I'd love it if you singed up for a 10 day FREE trial by visiting my website. For more information about Compass and Darnyelle, visit or call 641.715.3900 71145#.

I look forward to helping you win the game of your life.

09.09.09 = Manifestation

"The number 9 means manifestation. The manifestation of your destiny is predicated on your level faith, expectation and your ability to be persistent." Darnyelle A. Jervey

According to the dictionary, manifestation means outward or perceptible indication; materialization. Let that sink in for just a second. What you perceive to occur in your life will materialize...sounds to me that your thoughts will become the things you have (and perhaps enjoy) in your life. That can be good, if you think on good things. That will be bad if you can't get past the past and other hindrances to your destiny. No matter whether you like it or even agree with it, what you think about will manifest into your reality. So how, pray tell, do you flip the script and make this work for your good? I am so excited that you've asked.

1. Take a positive mental picture of what you want in your life. No matter how obtruse it may seem, capture the picture of what you want. Make sure the picture is in full color and captured down to the last detail. The color of the car, the exact amount of money you want in your checking account, the grade you want on the test, the career you want to have.

2. Begin to think with positive energy and excitement about the picture you just took in your mind.

3. Speak only words that corroborate the picture in your mind. Because after the thought has been spoken, it will manifest. Remember, that occurs good, bad or indifferent. It is the way it works. So if you want it to work in your favor, you cannot make casual covenants and comments just because you feel like it. When your words do not line up with the positive mental picture you've taken, you are double minded and therefore unstable and you will get what you say and not what you see.

Some people believe that manifestation is tricky...it isn't, manifestation is the truth; it is predicated by your level of faith and belief that what you see will become what you have and experience. Don't believe me? Think about the last car you purchased. Before you got that car and took the mental picture in your mind that you would own that car, you never came face to face with it. But as soon as you drove it off the lot, you see your car everywhere. Just when you thought you were stepping out of the mold, you realize that once again you and EVERYBODY else wanted the same car you pictured. Now, you know I'm telling the truth!

4. Reinforce the picture in your mind by writing the details of the picture in your manifestation book. This is a spiral notebook that only holds the things you want to receive in your life. It becomes a place where you can write the words that match the mental pictures that you take every day. (It also becomes the words to speak to reinforce the picture you took in your mind) Because it is true that what gets attended to gets done, by writing the details of your pictures in your manifestation book, you will begin to help these things materialize in your life.

For more information about manifestation and how learning how to be intentional when it comes to what you want, contact me by visiting my website and completing a FREE 30-minute consultation request so that we can schedule time to help you truly manifest your destiny.

"When I stand before God at the end of my life, I hope not to have a single bit of talent left, saying 'I used everything you gave me.'" Erma Bombeck.

What a profound statement. As I sit at my computer on the Friday before Labor Day, I think about the amount of labor one must do to be able to make this statement at the end of their life and I get excited. I am so sold out on the need of empowerment in the lives of others that it is my sincere desire that I use up everything that God gave me empowering people to realize that the Incredible is tucked on the inside, and they need only make the non-negotiable decision to unleash it!!!

Labor day is a celebration of the countless lives who gave their life in work for us to be the nation we are today. Because they worked hard, we get a day off. What will you do so that someone else may enjoy rest because you came before them and labored.

My favorite book says the harvest is plenty but the laborers are few.

Not everyone wants to work hard but everyone wants the benefits of hard work - success, a nice house, a healthy bank account, but people life is about so much more than material gain. Don't get me wrong, I know that money gives us choices and that is what we deserve to have - choices but don't get so caught up in the monetary gain of your hard work that you miss the gift you will leave to someone else so that they may rest. My favorite book also says that we should leave an inheritance for our children's children. In order to do so, we must labor with them in mind. It's not about you or I, it is about those who will be blessed because of our legacy.

I learned a long time ago that we each have a choice: we can pay now and play later or we can play now and pay later but make no mistake either way, we must pay in work. I get excited about the opportunity to do work that is meaningful and helping someone else realize their Incredibleness...it is my hope and desire for you that you will too.

Be Incredible,
Enjoy your day of rest!

Enthusiastic Expectation

I woke up with enthusiastic expectation this morning. I made a decision that this will be a September to Remember. I think sometimes we forget who we are and what we are capable of. For a few days, I had not done my morning visualization exercises and just that quickly, I lost sight of my goals. We must remember that our mind is a muscle and much like we work out to train the muscles in our body, we must train our minds to focus on the goals that we want to achieve CONSISTENTLY...So I am back.

No more mental candy (tv, radio) and more mental protein (books, Cds with a message, etc) I am determined to achieve my goals and I invite you to as well. Last month, I joined a company called Compass, it is a personal development organization that believes that every woman deserves to have a coach. I immediately became excited about this company and how I could use it as a platform to build my own coaching practice. You see, to coach with me one-on-one does not fit into everyone's budget. But through Compass, I am now able to offer affordable group coaching solutions to help women who want to take the first step toward taking back their life and discovering the compass that guides them in the areas of spirit, money and career, life balance, relationships and health and wellness and I am very excited!!

It is going to be a month to remember. I am enthusiastically expecting it.

2nd Thread to Success: Attitude of Abundance

Last week, we talked about Purposeful Passion. Today's all about your attitude. You've heard it said and probably have even said it yourself. Do everything right with the wrong attitude and fall on your face. Do everything wrong with the right attitude and living Incredibly - okay, maybe you've never heard it quite that way - smile. One trueism indeed is that attitude is everything and how you respond to what happens around you shadows your realm of experience. 95% of everything is your attitude and 5% is skill; get excited because if you have the right mindset - one set on abundance, which by the way is not material in the least, all things will work together for your good.

As you walk it out today, allow these tips about an attitude of abundance to color your experience:
1. Make a non-negotiable decision that you will be positive and only focus on positive experiences.
2. Focus on looking at the best in every situation and person with who you come into contact.
3. Attract people who also have a positive attitude because you become like those you hang around.
4. If you don't have anything nice to say, remain quiet!
5. Focus on the things that you are grateful for instead of the things you wish you could change, especially if you cannot control them.
6. Repeat each day so that everyday presents you with an attitude of abundance.

Be Incredible,

1st Thread to Success: Purposeful Passion

"Throughout history successful people have consistently illustrated 4 common threads running through their legacy: Passion, Abundance, Confidence and Expectation. That's why I created the PACE Method." Darnyelle A. Jervey

Jesus Christ. J.K. Rowling. Oprah Winfrey. President Obama. Mary Kay Ash. Harriet Tubman. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Maya Angelou. Darnyelle A. Jervey.

Each of these people, if you look closely at their legacy, have four common threads running through them. It's no secret that those who succeed develop an inate ability to focus on living a life that exudes passion, abundance, confidence and expectation. The definitions are simple enough but it is the tenacity at which each is applied that creates the success. Let me define them for you:

Passion - a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire for anything

Abundance
- an extremely plentiful or over sufficient quantity or supply, overflowing fullness; affluence, wealth

Confidence - belief in oneself and one's powers or abilities; self-confidence; self-reliance; assurance

Expectation - an expectant mental attitude; a prospect of future good or profit.

Jesus Christ. J.K. Rowling. Oprah Winfrey. President Obama. Mary Kay Ash. Harriet Tubman. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Maya Angelou. Darnyelle A. Jervey.

Look at the names again, see what I mean?

When you line up your Passion, Abundance, Confidence and Expectation, you will meet the Incredible You and enjoy unsurmounted success. 3 Tips about Attracting the Incredible

"Expanding your Circle of Influence to include Incredible people will ultimately help you to become Incredible. After all we become like the people with whom we spend time." Darnyelle A. Jervey

It's no secret that when you start hanging around a person, eventually others we say "You act just like X." Sometimes you even start looking like them - smile. That's because you naturally become like the people that you spend time around. My question to you: is that a good thing or a bad thing? If you have to stop and think, my guess is that the people in your circle are not people who are bringing you up, which means they are people who are pulling you down. And that, my friend is a big problem. People who bring you down or add drama to your life and who I like to call, Incredible SNATCHERS (TM)....They have been sent to negate all talent and confidence that has been earmarked and reserved for your success. They are the haters, dream stealers, naysayers, instigators, your family, and the list could go on and on but, you get my point.

My favorite book says two cannot walk together unless they agree so it is essential that you agree with the people that get to spend time with you. Because time is the only thing you can never get back, I would advise you to use it wisely by making wise choices about who you allow into your space. Your space is that sacred place that holds your energy, your enthusiasm and your ability to achieve Incredibleness in your life.

As a coach, here are my three (3) essential tips for learning to Attract the Incredible:

1. I recommend that my Burn the Box (tm) Coaching Clients Attract the Incredible by first Inspecting the Incredible and completing a quarterly assessment of their associations. Here's a quick run down of the process: If when you think of that person, they add value to your life, they get a + (plus sign); if when you think of them, they take away or cause stress, strife or contention, they get a - (minus sign), if when you think of them you feel indifferent, they get a / (slash sign) and then the time to make the non negotiable decision about their placement in your life comes: + can stay; - must go; / have three months to change their position because you can't straddle the fence.

2. You become like these people - don't you want to live a life that produces fruit and adds value to the lives of others? Studies show that people who spend time with high performers are more likely to perform high in their own lives. We all know that your network determines your net worth so if you want to earn high, you have to befriend high.

3. Incredible people set standards in their lives and they hold us accountable if we want to spend time with them. Accountability is so important, especially when you have goals and dreams to fulfill. People are afraid of accountability but having it in your life with consistency is truly the key to dream fulfillment. When you spend time with people who are where you are going, not living up to their standards and requirements makes you look bad and they have no problem cutting you out of the circle, (because they know the importance of attracting the incredible) so what happens, you perform and your impress because being associated with them is important to the Incredible You. Being associated with them buolds credibility for your product and servicce. Incredible people have all the characteristics you need in your life: integrity, a heart of service, dependability, enthusiasm, passion, support, abundance, confidence and levels of expectation, they are business minded, etc....These are the people you want to attract.

Here's to Attracting the Incredible, they're out there waiting to hold you accountable for your dreams!

5 Reasons to Develop a Brand Board

"Your brand is your word; your bond, your signature, it's your way of establishing yourself in the marketplace." Darnyelle A. Jervey

Last evening, I spoke at a NJAWBO Dinner Meeting on the topic of How to Build An Incredible Brand and it was a fabulous talk and a great bunch of ladies and a gentleman who are all ready to burn the box and establish their definitive position in the marketplace. What I realized is that so many people are unconscious about their brand and that is a big problem. How in the world are you going to be effective in your industry if you have not established your brand?

The way I see it, there are 7 steps to developing your brand; but I want to focus on only one step today and that is the planning step and the development of a brand board.

For your records, the 7 steps to building an Incredible Brand are See (the Incredible), Inspect (the Incredible), Attract (the Incredible), Speak (the Incredible), Dream (the Incredible), Plan (the Incredible) and Unleash (the Incredible).

Again, for the purpose of today's blog, I am focusing on Step 6 - Plan (the Incredible Brand). They way I see the planning process working is to recognize that writing it down gives it validity. As long as the concept stays in your mind, it has the potential to dissipate because we are bombarded with thoughts every second of every day that come and go as quickly as they came or went. But what gets attended to gets done so if we take the time to write down what we want our brand to represent, it is more likely to occur.

The key to an Incredible brand is strategic thought-provoking concepts and images that clearly articulate the personification of your brand. So for all intents and purposes, the planning process of building an Incredible brand Will be realize via a branding board.

Not to be confused with a vision board, a brand board is similar and equally important to the purpose minded person, that is whether you run your own company or work in someone else's company but have a vested interest in ensuring that the image your portray speaks to the brand you are establishing for yourself.

We all know that our thoughts become things and the things that we think about and/or visualize happen in our lives whether we focus on them or not. So if we strategically use that energy in our favor the production of our brand will be Incredible!

Now, here's the thing: branding starts in your mind. In the conception phase of brand development, your thoughts create power and power is transformed into the representation of who you are and/or want to be viewed as in the marketplace. Also remember that branding is personal; you cannot find someone else's brand and copy it because then it is not authentic and people will be able to see right through that. You must follow the 7 steps to building an Incredible Brand and find your message, because you alone have a message that is yours and yours alone. Truthfully, if I try to steal someone else's brand, it won't work for my anyway because what God has for you is yours and no one else can have it. At best, you can only be a good copy of someone else or you can be the original, which is worth far more when inspected for intrinsic value.

Also keep in mind, that your logo is not your brand. Your logo should be a continuation of your brand but it is not the brand itself. The development of your brand is strategic and interdependent to everything about you, the company and the product(s) that you offer. That is why this process of development is so essential to ensure that you take the time to develop a succinct concept that has longevity in the marketplace.

So, here are 5 of the reasons to build a brand board:
1. To get a clear understanding of you, your product or service. When we take the time to write down our goals, they become clearer and easier to attain. Clarity helps us to answer questions like: what do I want people to think of when they hear my name, my company's name or see my logo, business card, advertisement, etc. If you don't know the answer to this question, take the time to go through all 7 steps and at the end your brand will be clear to you. Also, ask yourself what is the one word, you want people to say resoundingly when you are brought up in conversation.

If you haven't figured it out yet, my word is....say it with me....Incredible!

2. To line up your vision for your life with what you want others to see, think or feel when they are in your presence and or thinking of you. This is where it is important that your vision board and your brand board connect. They are interdependent upon one another. You cannot have a brand without vision and if you have vision, you will most certainly have a brand.

3. To have a visual reminder of your signature to carry with you every where you go. Remember that our thoughts become things so when we visualize what we want our brand to mean to us and others, it will happen. It's the law of attraction!

4. To be a strategic representation of your company's core competencies, values and mission to serve your customer's in the best possible way. If there is no company, then how will your message be a representation of you core competencies? Remember, branding is not just for the entrepreneur. Think about it; people you know who are always late, you think of that first when you think of them and therefore tell them a time that is at least a half an hour earlier than the actual start time because their brand is to arrive tardy...right? You get my point.

5. To clearly identify the differentiation between you and others in your industry. Oftentimes the only thing that separates your from others is what your brand says about your levels of service and commitment to Incredible Customer Satisfaction. So developing a brand that speaks to all aspects of you, your company, your product or service and your reputation, is terribly important.

There are also 7 P's to make sure that your brand exemplifies:

1. Positive - I think this is pretty self explanatory. You want others to feel warm and fuzzy when they think of you, your company or see your logo.

2. Polished - So important. Think about those people who you ask at a networking event what they do and they stammer on for 20 minutes because they are not even sure! You want it to be polished and precise so that in a minutes notice, or better yet just seeing you starts to tell others about your Incredible brand.

3. Prompt - timeliness is next to Incredibleness. Enough said. okay, I will say one more thing, you brand must be on time. Customers may be late but you, never it is a sin!

4. People-oriented - You are not an island so you need to learn how to invite others into your brand. Remember we are talking about fertilizer and not weedkiller. You want to Attract the Incredible to you...they will expand your reach and build an Incredible circle of potential and influence for your brand.

5. Planned - what gets attended to gets done. Prior planning prevents poor performance.

6. Persistent - and consistent. I should see it everywhere without it feeling stalker-esque. Seriously, it needs to be pleasantly persistent and confident so that others can see the value of your brand and invest in it for themselves.

7. Powerful - power will ensure that you become the product or service of choice for those who want what you have; power is a quiet storm. You may not always hear it coming but it empowers you to be better, stronger, Incredible!

For illustration purposes, a copy of my brand board is attached.

5 Ways to Look Ahead!

Vision: 5 Ways to Look Ahead
"Look back...get stuck; look straight...maintain; look ahead...grow." Darnyelle A. Jervey

Where we focus our eyes means a lot; the windows to our soul have the ability and propensity to shape our existence and determine the level of success we will enjoy in our lives. Think about it. Helen Keller is quoted as saying "there is nothing more pathetic than having sight but no vision."

And vision is exactly to what I am referring today.

When you look back, your past is still dictating your life's path. Phrases like "what had happened was..., I'm this way because when I was little..., My mother and father did this to me..." When we will you stop allowing your past to speak? The past is a cancelled check; we cannot get anything for it so why are we still looking there? Please show me an example of someone who has focused on the past and increased their future's success? Exactly.

When you choose to focus your eyes right in front of you, your vision is limited because your scope and/or frame of reference is limited; how can you possibly conquer the world when all you are able to visualize is right in front of you. In these cases, you are just doing enough to get by. Nothing more, nothing less. Why in the world would the God of everything restrict your vision to just that which is right in front of you? He wouldn't His word says, 'people perish for lack of vision' (Proverbs 29:18)

But when you look ahead, get excited, your whole world comes into view and you allow the possibility of a thing to guide you along as your vision becomes your focal point. The sky truly is the limit when you believe that anything is possible. Please do not limit yourself to only look straight in front of you. Look ahead and watch the incredible things that happen.

Even as a young girl, I was always looking ahead...to the next thing. My environment wasn't the most positive...we don't need to dweel on that; we've all got a story and mostly it's the same....the point is this, I didn't allow my surroundings to stifle me.I continued to look ahead. I never wanted to be defined by my situation, my promise was always my motivation to keep looking beyond what I saw right in front of me. Whatever your current circumstances, it is not forever, it is just for now so look ahead to better days and prepare yourself for the harvest that is to come.

Here's what you can do:
1. Position yourself to let the past go. It may not be easy but what that we really want ever is? If you need a coach to help you "Burn the Box", click here to contact me to schedule your FREE 30-minute consultation.

2.Make a list of the benefits of looking ahead. Knowing the pros and cons of any action helps us to solidify what we do. Why do you need to let the past go? Because it is stifling your future!

3. Make a vision board - what does your life look like? What do you want to see in your future. Remember, what gets attended to gets done so get to mapping it out.

4. Visualize yourself where you are going. Don't think about where you are right now, think about where you are going. Start each new day with gratitude and then statements that begin "Today, I see myself...."

5. Believe that anything is possible by aligning your vision with action and do it! Make a step each day toward your end result.
Be Incredible,
Darnyelle

There's work to be done

"If you know your purpose, you shouldn't be sitting down; that is the sign of finished work. If your purpose has been set, there's much to do." Darnyelle A. Jervey

Why in the world are you here? Have you figured it out? Have you even begun to think about what your place on this earth was secured to do? If not, I invite you to start to give it significant thought. Here's the thing, until you know why you are here, you will wander aimlessly. How will you know that you;'ve arrived at your destination if you have no clue why and when you are to go? Meandering through life is for the birds, and I believe that even the birds understand their purpose and work diligently each day in their created purpose.

So many people, because they lack definitive purpose, are straying from what they were called to do. They are trying to take the freeway and are straddling multiple lanes; all they are really doing is perpetuating a serious accident! The key is to try a lot of things while looking inward to find what you love and would do for free. I promise you that if you would do it for free, there are people who would pay you to do it for them! But that process of Inspecting the Incredible that I am talking about in just about every blog is so key to understanding your purpose and deciding which lane is yours on the freeway of life. You get to find your purpose! Get excited; it is about the realization of what makes you tick, where you feel comfortable and where your home is. It's not about what anyone else thinks that you were created to do; it's all about you....

Upon receiving the revelation, it is imperative that you acquire significant vision. Helen Keller says "there is nothing more pathetic then one who has sight yet has no vision." So, you must start to do as one of my favorite books says "begin with the end in mind." (The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Covey) So, how do you propose I do that, Darnyelle. I am glad you asked. I believe in the power of visualization and thoughts that lead to the things we want in our life. Another one of my favorite books says "we have not because we ask not and if any man ask and believes and doesn't doubt that he will receive what he asked for, it shall be given to him." So, we need to put it out there exactly how we want it and I believe a great way to do that is by using a vision board. I will include a picture of mine for your review. I use a cork board, because I think it makes it easier to make updates/modifications when necessary. Remember, burn the box, gone are the days of glue sticks and arts and crafts!

With a set vision, you will help your thoughts turn into the things that you would like to have in your life. Everything on your vision board should not be materialistic, if there are things about your personality that you'd like to modify, put them on your board as well.

The key is this, find your purpose, you will find your passion and then naturally you will get busy working because it won't seem like work. You won't be found sitting down in front of the television trying to figure out what is happening on the reality show du jour, you will be busy working, walking into your vision and realizing that there is much to do becauce your purpose has been set and people need what you were created to do.

Be Incredible,
Darnyelle

The Man in the Mirror

'I'm starting with the man in the mirror. I'm asking him to change his ways. No message could have been any clearer, if you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make a change." Michael Jackson

I, too, have decided to start with the woman in the mirror....in fact, I start with her every morning and I ask myself, "who can I help today so that God gets the glory and I live my purpose?" I think that we rush through life and forget to take the time to examine ourselves and ensure that we are being authentic and effectively using integrity and service as our most powerful character trait.

When I started Incredible One Enterprises, I developed a lot of "Incredible-isms" to illustrate the steps I believe are necessary to operate an Incredible life. One of those steps/principles, is the concept I aptly titled 'Inspect the Incredible' or completing that all important self-assessment. I can't remember which rap group and song says "check yourself before you wreck yourself," but that is exactly what comes to mind when I think of Michael Jackson's song and my concept of Inspecting the Incredible.

It is so important to take a look at your life and make sure that who you are is who you want to be and who others see you as is who you want to be seen as. Now, I am not suggesting that you allow others opinions of you to carry too much weight, but I do believe that you can tell a tree (a pillar of society that offers nourishment and strength) by the fruit it bears and of course you alredy know that if you are going to bear fruit, I think it should be passion fruit!

So how often do I complete this "Inspect the Incredible" step, Darnyelle? The simple answer is as often as you feel the need but minimally, I believe that each quarter or as the seasons change, we need to begin by inspecting ourselves. Each season in our life brings new challenges and rewards and having the personal stability to weather the seasons is essential to the Incredible You.

What do I do when I am "Inspecting the Incredible," Darnyelle? To borrow/rearrange a line from a Smokey Robinson hit, "Tracks of My Tears," "Take a good look at your face but if your smile is out of place, look closer and start to trace what needs to change in order for that frown to become a smile again. I think that being honest with yourself and asking yourself those tough questions like, "what do I hear about me from other people?, who do I think that I am? Am I successful at creating a brand that speaks to who I believe God created me to be?, etc. is a good place to start. I would also like to point out getting my 2nd book, The Incredible You can help as I included a detailed, thought provoking self-assessment in the book and my readers are telling me that it was just what they needed to finally define and unleash the Incredible inside.

There is so much more to Inspecting the Incredible....determining if your life bears fruit is so essential and of course, you've got to ask yourself if you are fertilizer or weed killer....adding or subtracting value....keeping relationships with people who are where you want to be and pulling you up versus bringing you down....keeping a positive attitude...speaking life affirming words over yourself and others....I could go on and on....

I think you get my point.

Grab a mirror and get started. We will all be glad that you did.

Be Incredible,
Darnyelle

You are who you think you are

"Who you are is not the reason you don't enjoy success; you’re destiny is hindered by who you think you are not."
Darrnyelle A. Jervey

Who do you say that you are? Who do you think that you are? As you know the saying goes, "you are who you say you are." So who will you be this day? We have a responsibility to be true to ourselves, when we represent ourselves in truth, we will be Incredible.

I remember when I was in the 5th grade. There was the pretty little girl, she was mixed and had long flowing thick, curly wavy hair. She was beautiful and I envied her. For so many reasons I cannot remember, I thought that if I could walk a mile in her shoes, somehow my life would be better. She came from a "good" family...her dad was a judge and her mother an affluent member of society...they had it going on. Even at that age, I shattered my ability to be the best me I could be because I thought that being a carbon copy of her would somehow be better.

How many of us have felt this way? How many of us see someone today and declare that if only we could be like them....

Well, as I have said before, you can only be the best copy of them OR you can be the authentic Incredible you by learning to change your definition of yourself. After all, as a man thinketh so is he Proverbs 23:7

I think that no matter the societal problem a person faces, the result stems from who they think they are. Take the man who abuses his wife, girlfriend, etc. He is strong arming her because he doesn't believe that he exudes strength. He feels that if he controls her, that gives him power but what he is failing to realize is that power starts within...if only he could see himself strong and able to control his situation by being a thermistat and not a thermometer, then he would feel secure in who he is and not have to take strength and power away from someone else..... take a woman in an abusive relationship. She doesn't believe that who she is deserves to be treated better than her current state so she stays and makes excuses for why she is his doormat....

My point is this...you are who you say you are and who you say you are is exactly who others will say that you are....Who do you want others to say that you are? After you answer that question, be sure to ask yourself what it will take to truly be who you want others to say that you are?

As always, here are my tips:

1. Inspect the Incredible - we have to constantly do a self-assessment and to borrow from one of my favorite Michael Jackson songs, we have to start with the "Man in the Mirror.... We've got to ask him to change his ways. If you want to make the world a better place take a look at yourself and make a change."

2. Be Authentic. Honesty truly is the best policy. Be honest with who you are. Like I said earlier you can only be a good copy at best of someone else but if you be who you were created to be, you can excel at that role everytime.

3. Learn to love yourself. To do this, you have to spend time with yourself getting to know your likes and dislikes. Learn to see yourself through the eyes of the Creator. When He made you, he said "It is good."

4. Attract the Incredible. Seek out relationships with people who want the best for you and people who know your worth. Self worth is more valuable than net worth in any portfolio and because of your self worth, your net worth will grow exponentially with people who support and believe in who you are.

5. Do something everyday to increase your self image. Doing something everyday will create a habit and positive habits are what leads to significant growth and change.

6. Be the change you want to see in other people - I guess this goes back to looking at the Man in the Mirror...but be a beacon of light. Marianne Williamson's poem Our Deepest Fear says that when we let our light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same.

7. Fear the fear, but do it anyway. No matter what comes your way, feel the fear but don't let the fear hinder you. Fear is normal as long as it doesn't stop you from achieving. You were only born with two fears but you are afraid of your own shadow....That's not the way it was intended. Get over it but doing it anyway. What is the worst that could happen?

8. Repeat positive life affirmations out loud to yourself in the mirror. This is very important because you will have what you say. So if you speak about it, you will naturally bring it about.

I hope my tips help you this "Walk it Out" Wednesday. It is my sincere hope that I may reflect myself in truth so that I can be a catalyst to invoke Incredible change in your life.

Be Incredible,
Darnyelle

It's not Forever...

"When your situation is not your ideal, remember, it's not forever, it's just for now." Darnyelle A. Jervey

I don't know about you but I have had my share of bad moments over the past couple of weeks. Can I be real with you? I know that when you are the "empowerment speaker" everyone believes that you wake up each day on top of the world. Can I set the record straight? We do not. We have the same obstacles and issues affecting us as you. There are no super girl panties to put on, lotions or other creams to spread on, etc that make the disappointments and heartaches dissipate. I hurt, I get discouraged and sometimes I even take my eyes off the prize and focus on my situation and not my promise...Yes, me. Remember, I am keeping it real today.

Sometimes "Walk it Out" Wednesday is about Walking into those things holding you back full force. I walk that you might walk away from your disappointments and walk toward your destiny....

But I hope that my transparency encourages you. Over the past couple of weeks I have been fixated on a quote I first heard Pastor Marvin Sapp say on the intro to his hit "Praise Him in Advance." He said, "A Worshipper in one who refuses to let what they see hinder what they believe." I get excited about this quote because we all have problems, troubles, issues, but the way we look at those very things is what determines how long we stay in that state and let the pity party music play.

Are y'all still with me?

I was about to send the invitations to a pity party last Friday when my significant other reminded me of who I am....Not that I forgot on purpose, but I temporarily allowed what I saw to hinder what I believed. I am so glad that he called me and put my in my place and restored my confidence. Yeah, my confidence. I know that I edify you and give you something to chew on, but I need to be encouraged too. It is difficult to bear the task to empower others because everyone feels like "you've got it going on," or "you always have your stuff together," and that is far from the truth some of the time.

So as I looked at my situation on Friday, after our phone call was over and I was feeling a little better about my situation, I remembered that it is not forever, it is just for now. Repeat it with me....It's not forever, it's just for now. The economy, your growing debt, your job that you despise, your car keeps breaking down, your relationship with that person who truly is not worthy of you but you can't find the strength to walk away, your house is too small, too dirty, etc no matter what the issue it's not forever, it's just for now.

I promise you this, if you focus on your promise and not your problems, they will start to bother you a little less each day....remember 95% of everything we do is our attitude...how do you look at the glass on the table...half full, half empty, drip dry....running over?

When your bad days take over your good days, remember it's not forever, it's just for now and make the non-negotiable decision to refuse to allow what you see to hinder what you believe.

Be Incredible,it's already in you.

Fruit fit to Enjoy

"You can't enjoy the fruit, if you don't nourish it from the root. Feed your mind with empowering thoughts, words and actions." ~Darnyelle A. Jervey

I am so excited for today's post.....At bible study yesterday, my pastor said something profound....He said, when you want fruit, where in the supermarket do you go? You go to the produce department right? Of course! Produce is the root word for production or....taking ACTION to being able to enjoy the fruit of your life. Darnyelle translation...Do the Incredible!!!! Now, you know I'm not talking about just any fruit, I am talking about passion fruit....

On a previous post, I described passion fruit...it's juicy, its power-packed and full of vitamins and minerals to aid the body in digestion and offer energy that will empower your body to run a marathon! When you bear Passion fruit, watch your life change and your destiny be manifested in your life. What you send into the lives of others, most assuredly comes back into your own....

What he said wasn't that profound, it was the manifestation of what he said. As my mind began to pontificate over his words, I got elated in my spirit...work...we must work to build the fruit of our lives. Our minds must be filled with empowerment...but we have to put it there...Life is full of choices and choosing to nourish ourselves and others is what will make a significant difference in our lives and the lives of others.

It's not going to always be easy to bear fruit but it will always be worth it. I have always said if you don't have anything empowering to say, don't say anything at all because saying nothing can often be an illustration of the juicest passion fruit the world has ever tasted.

So, how do you nourish the fruit?

1. Make a non negotiable decision that being a fruit bearer is a part of your job description.

2. Input determines output. What are you putting into your produce stand? Are you watching garbage on television, listening to crap on the radio, reading trashy novels? If you don't put good stuff in, good stuff will not come out.

3. Attract the Incredible. Of course I can't leave this one out. Fruit bearers attract fruit bearers. When you look at your circle of influence, do you see production in their lives? If not, run forest run.

4. Commit to producing fruit. Challenges will come but those who bear fruit will always prevail by doing it anyway. It may not always be easy but it will always be worth it.

Have an Incredible Walk it Out Wednesday.

Be Incredible,

Enthusiastic Expectation

"Your level of expectation is the catalyst to the determination to dream big & work hard to make your dreams a reality." Darnyelle A. Jervey

So powerful, so true. You have heard it said that you get what you ask for, right. I believe you get what you expect for. Here's the thing, your level of expectation is a direct result of your hope. If you have faith and believe in the possibility of your dreams becoming a reality, naturally, you will line up your life via planning and preparation to manifest that which you believe.

I am always in awe of people who know what they want and are working hard each day to make it happen. I believe that others see me as this type of person. It is my mission in life to achieve. Not just for me, but for those who have worked hard before me so that I could have a right to dream larger than life and watch those dreams manifest. But how did I get that way? I realized that the creator already provided me with everything that I need to succeed in life; I realized that the worst thing that could happen if I went for it and it didn't happen was that I would remain the same. But, I get excited about the possibility of a chance to change my life and shift my destiny and so, I go for it. Wouldn't you?

I expect for Incredible things to happen in my life. Plain and simple, point blank. I am fully convinced that I really can accomplish anything to which I put my mind and, more importantly I know that you can to.

As always, I've got a few tips to share with you....

1. Make a non-negotiable decision to foster the change and personal growth necessary to go to the place you want to in your life.
2. After the decision has been made, do not waiver, instead expect that through guidance, your dream will take flight and you will soar like an eagle.
3. Focus on transferring your belief from those things that have held you bound to the inability to achieve to you - believe in yourself, believe that anything is possible.
4. Do something everyday that gets you closer to the achievement of your goal, even when you don't feel like it. This will create a habit and habits are transformed into dreams realized.
5. Expect that what you want to occur will happen. No excuses, just expect it.

"When your level of expectation lines up with your level of belief, the manifestation of the Incredible in you is on the horizon." Darnyelle A. Jervey

From Spec to Spectacular

You were born with everything that you need to be Incredible but somewhere along the way, you lost sight of that all important keepsake. Maybe it was because you were walking by sight and not by faith....maybe it was because your situation looks bleak and someone told you that "you'll never amount to anything." Or maybe someone told you that you were ugly and stupid and that no one would ever love you. You were gfoing to be just like your father, mother, sister or brother - you will be a hot mess! Let me encourage you this "Walk it Out Wednesday," you may feel small (like a spec or particle of nothingness)and insignificant right now based on what is happening around you, but not so. You are still spectacular...you are Incredible. You were born with an inherent right to live Incredibly but will you ever walk into it. Get rid of doubt, fear, debt and trepidation..... When you take your eyes off your problems and focus on your promise, the Incredible in you will be unleashed...the spec will become spectacular.

Sight is such a distraction to purpose...if you do not know how to prevent what you see from adversely affecting what you believe, you will never realize the Incredible. With our eyes, we forfeit so much....if we could just put on blinders and walk it out in faith, fully convinced that what we seek we shall have because we have learned to speak it and even though we don't yet see it, we know that it is going to happen, and happen Incredibly!

I'll tell you a true story that helped me to go from spoec to spectacular....I use to have a best friend who never liked for anyone else to be doing anything better than she. She would down play anything you did because her self-confidence was low and she didn't believe that she could achieve what her dreams were. One day, we were walking to the park and she said, "Darny (my nickname) I had a dream that you were going to be a bum when we grow up. I know that sounds crazy, but the dream was so real. I remember running into you years later and you were on the street corner with one of those homeless signs." I started to cry immediately, why would my friend say that about me? I know today it is because she is an Incredible SNATCHER but she was supposed to be my friend, right. Well, I stopped crying mid way when I head a small voice say "don't believe her. You will be great some day."I started to smile suddenly, but I hid it a little because I didn't want her to think that I knew better than she, she was bigger than I and I didn't want to get into a fight (smile) I instead started to think of how I could get away from her because she was bringing me down. I focused on that small voice and continued to walk along side of her saying nothing. Out of nowhere, she stumbled and fell busting her lip and loosing a tooth. I believe today that occured because God doesn't like ugly! The point is this: don't cry and get discouraged when people tell you who they think you are....You are Incredible, focus on what you hear - that still small voice - as it tells you how Spectacular you are....Be like me and prove them wrong. Now, I'm not an evil person but I am sure she is some place where she can hear about who I am today because I didn't allow her words and looking at what I saw hinder what I believed to be true about me. I encourage you to do the same.

What will it take to turn the spec into the spectacular? Four simple things: say them with me.... Purposeful Passion, Attitudes of Abundance, Consistent Confidence and Enthusiastic Expectation. When you find your purpose and illuminate your passion by developing and sustaining an attitude of abundance in all things regardless of what you see with your natural eyes, you beccome fully convinced in your ability to do anything to which you put your mind and therefore expect to achieve the Incredible in your life, the spec will dissipate and the spectacular will rise.

Focus on your P.A.C.E. this week and experience a Moment of Manifestation.

Be Incredible,
Darnyelle

The Most Powerful Tool in YOUR World

Everybody possesses one. Everybody uses this tool each day...some of us build things, others of us tear things down...some of us even let it lay dormant what do you do...do you use your constructively...or do you tear down walls and people with your tool.

If you haven't guessed it by now, I am talking about your tongue. After all, "it is the most powerful tool you will ever possess and use...use it properly and you can fix anything." When I realized the power that lied in my tongue and how by simply changing the way I spoke about my situations, problems, concerns, etc, I could shift and change things and prevent ill thoughts from ruining my day....so many things changed. Incredible things started to happen.

I remember back in the day when I had a filthy mouth and as a young lady, my speech was not reflective of the way I wished that people would treat me. Almost like turning on the light, I realized that I only had a potty mouth in certain circumstances. Well, I figured that if I could control it sometimes, I could control it at all times and from then on I began to act and speak like the young lady that I wanted to be considered as. By switching the context in which I used my tool, I noticed so many things changing in and around me. I naturally got more respect from my co-workers and my friends started to take me seriously. I started to take me seriously. When I noticed the power with which I spoke and how people listened to what I had to say because I had a valuable contribution to any meeting or conversation, it boosted my confidence and showed me of the power that had been laying dormant all because I didn't apply my tool correctly to fix and change the mindsets of others, including myself.

The tongue is a powerful tool. What do you fix with yours? It's been said that we need to stop telling God our problems and start telling our problems about God...that's a great way to use your tool, isn't it? The key here is to stop talking about things you cannot change and to focus your tongue, time and attention on things that you can....Change what you speak and watch what you seek also change...I invite you to take your tool and use it to fix something or someone by offering words of edification and encouragement. I encourage you to realize that when you speak the Incredible, Incredible things will happen.

After all, if you don't have anything empowering to say, you shouldn't say anything at all.

Fear, no match for Faith

"When you know your purpose, your fear is no match for your faith." Darnyelle A. Jervey.

As I was getting dressed this morning, I clearly heard my spirit say that my faith would always conquer my fear; I had made up my mind, I have made a non-negotiable decision that fear and faith will never occupy the same place in my life. I often have decisions to make, concerns that may be facing me but I never give them room to deter me from my path; you see, I know my purpose.

How about you?

Do I get fearful sometimes? Of course, I am human. But I never let that fear keep me from getting up and doing it anyway. I believe it is an anynomous quote "Feel the fear but do it anyway," and that is exactly what I do. Fear is nothing more than false evidence appearing as if it were real. Basically our minds play tricks on us and when we are not fully convinced that we can defeat the fear, it wins. But I say that it is time to rise up against your fears and do it anyway. Fear and faith are like oil and water and they will never mix but I think that if you decide today to find your purpose, you will realize the significance of faith in your life. Purpose when manifested will give you a confidence that is out of this world and allow you to reposition yourself to do great things because you know what you are here for. Here aree a few quick tips to help you:
1. Get to a quite place and Inspect the Incredible by completing a self assessment - find out who you are...my book, The Incredible You can help you to define the Incredible in You and unleash your passion.
2. Make a non-negotiable decision that once you have determined your purpose, no matter what comes your way, you will pursue it passionately.
3. Never give up on you no matter what others say and do.
4. Believe that you can do anything to which you put your mind.
5. Attract the Incredible or surround yourself with people who can encourage ande edify you to make it happen.

Need a confidence boost, do it anyway. Don't let fear keep you from your destiny...remember what God has for you, is yours. So feel the fear but do it anyway. After all, "When you know your purpose, your fear will be no match for your faith."

Be Incredible,

Are you a Passionista?

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of sitting on a panel for entrepreneurs who have a desire to turn their passion into a paycheck. One of my fellow panelists said something that spurred a couple of incredible emotions in me and really made me look at the passion that rests inside of my bosom. I decided a long time ago and I wanted to make sure that whatever I did when I grew up, it would bear fruit. But not just any fruit, passion fruit. Passion fruit is sweet, juicy and full of vitamins and effective minerals to aid the body in digestion, weight loss and other key things. So I took the analogy of being a passion fruit bearer to the next level and decided to make sure that everything that I did, personally and professionally would have to be sweet, juicy and full of vitamins and effective minerals for the personal and professional growth of others as well as myself. So, to make it happen I employed a few simple steps that I am asking you now so that you can determine if you, too are a passionista, capable of bearing that sweet, juicy, vitamin fruit not just for yourself but also for the others who will follow the lead that you set in your life.

You might be a passionista if you:

1. Have identified your Purpose. Knowing what you are here for is so important if you want to exude passion or, the ability to eat, sleep and drink about that thing that makes it alright that other areas of your life go untouched or uninfluenced so long as your passion is ignited and you are working hard to make your dream and zest for life come true...in whatever form it is currently taking. Passion means that you will "pass it on" to others so that you can inspire and ignite them to burn the box of trepidation, despair and doubt and move into peace, performance and prosperity.
2. Have an Abundance mentality. - Poverty is a mindset. There are many people who lack financial resources that are rich because their mindset is full of hope, desire, determination and most importantly abundance. Even when you lack, you can have so much if you remove mediocrity from your vocabulary.
3. Have decided that you will create your own destiny in Confidence. Success is not for the faint at heart. If you want big things, you must do big things. You must fail big but you must get back up and keep it moving. Confidence says "I've got this, without saying a word." Confidence knows that no matter what it looks like right now, I am on top of my game and I will not give up no matter what. To be a true passionista, confidence must be your mainstay in life because I promise you that the disappointments and moments of despair are coming. Sometimes we can see them far off, other times we cannot, but a confident passionista does not get alarmed regardless of what the situation looks like.
4. Have decided that you will not allow what you see to adversely affect what you believe. I am sure that this one is pretty self-explanatory. Your faith aligns with your P.A.C.E.
5. Are enthusiastically expecting for the best in all situations. Again, expectation does not look at right now, it looks at what is to come. Expectation does not get caught up in where you are from because it is already looking ahead to where you are going!
6. Cannot sleep at night because the assignment you've been given keeps a fire burning in your heart that says "I cannot rest until I have done what I set out to do."
7. Surround yourself with Incredible people...people who speak the Incredible, live in power and expect the Incredible in their lives. You become like the 5 people with whom you spend most of your time....Are they powerful? Are they Incredible, Are they a passionista?
8. Are a thermistat and not a thermometer...Thermometers are controlled by their surroundings…changing their temperature to suit the environment in which they are positioned; yet, thermistats set the P.A.C.E. and determine the levels of control in their lives. As a passionista, you must be in control of something - your mind, will and emotions.
9. Are fertilizer and not weed killer. Are you nourishing good ground with your words, thoughts and actions or are you killing the hopes and dreams of another because you are an Incredible SnatcherTM? Or better still are you killing yourself softly with your doubt, debt and despair?
10. Complete a self-assessment or Inspect the Incredible that you are to become on a frequent basis. As they say, “school is never out for the pro.” Well, change is never out for the Incredible. Move with the cheese, yet stand firm in your determination and non-negotiable decision to achieve your heart's desire by being a living example of passion fruit and bearing your passion proudly and boldly for all to see and marvel while they say, "Man, he/she is Incredible! He/She must be a Passionista!”

Re-Position Yourself

Over the past couple of weeks, I have noticed that I have consistently been saying the following phrase: "you have to put yourself in a position," and it got me to thinking: for as much as I have said it, clearly there is a reason and the reason is that people need to reposition themselves so that they can see the invisible, dream the incredible and do the impossible.

I love to share that expansion creates exposure to the possibility of the thing that you want/need in your life. Take riding on an airplane. Blessfully, you get a FREE upgrade to 1st class. You are excited and your mind naturally starts to think bigger and as you think bigger, you expose yourself to thoughts of consistent grandeur. You start popping your collar and walking taller because you have arrived at the defining moment in your travel rolodex....you are in a bigger, better position because the trigger of a FREE upgrade has expanded your mind and exposed you to the possibility of a new thing. Incredible One, you must re-position yourself to think. First and foremost to think. Simply to think. Second to think a different thought. The time is up for trying to be just like the current big thing. Be authentic to who you are and be the Incredible You that you were created to be. And to get to that destination, you must reposition yourself.

Be Incredible,
Darnyelle

Be happy an excerpt from The Incredible You

I love Mary J. Blige’s song “Be Happy.” It is truly all that I believe that you want. Wouldn’t it be great to find the life that is yours? Even when I think of Bobby Darrin and his hit “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” I have to smile. The time for drama, depression, desperation and drought is over! The time has come for passion, abundance, confidence and expectation. It’s time to be happy.
Happiness is a state of mind but it is so essential to the Incredible You. I think so many people have it wrong; they think that things make them happy. What I know to be true is that being happy is not an end result of getting lots of things. Being happy is the place to start if you want to become the Incredible You. Think about it - when you feel good everything seems to go your way. You may call it being lucky or having a good day. I call it being happy and ultimately fulfilled. When in actuality, the way you feel is the reason for the success you are enjoying at that moment; your mind has allowed you to experience a feeling of euphoria.
It may take you a minute to realize that the success you feel is as a result of your state of mind. But once you do, you will want to strive to always be in your happy place. Happiness, when mastered, will prevent days when you are unhappy. Your outlook on life will be different and you will be able to consistently see the joy in every situation.
When I learned to be happy, so many things in my life changed. You’ve heard the old adage “When life gives you lemons make lemonade?” Well, I took that phrase to heart and started to find a way to make lemonade out of every situation in my life. We choose to allow ourselves to be victims or victors and happiness is a choice. Becoming the Incredible You is a choice. Clearly it is your goal or you would not be reading this book – smile.
Life is full of choices and choosing to be happy is a very good one. Not only do life and death lie in the power of the tongue, but they also lie in the power of the mind. When you choose to be happy, you are choosing a lifetime of happiness and fulfillment that is out of this world.
Want to turn a sad day into a happy one? Pay attention to your thoughts. Like the Bible says, “As a man thinks, so is he.” So if you want to be happy, you must think happiness. I believe that so many of us have an invalid definition of happiness so to be sure, I would like to define it for you.
According to Webster’s New World Dictionary, happiness is having, showing or causing a feeling of great pleasure, contentment or joy; favored by circumstance. I want you to get excited because happiness means that you are favored. As discussed in an earlier principle, expecting unmerited favor in your life is an important part of the Incredible You. I encourage you to expect unmerited happiness and allow the way that you look at the world to shadow all of the experiences that you have while you are here.
Take it from me; I have been a person with a bad attitude. There is nothing enlightened about having a negative outlook on life. In fact, I remember always being miserable and always blaming someone else for my struggles when truly the culprit was me.
I decided to change my destiny by changing my mindset; I decided to be happy. Simply put, I started to look for the “silver lining” in all situations and before I knew it, my glass was half-full and I was optimistic as opposed to the pessimist that I use to be. Every time I noticed myself in a good mood, I captured that moment and stored it in my heart. After a while, I had a bank of good thoughts and feelings to go back to and draw from when I was not having a pleasant experience.
Realize you are in charge of your well being and control it with your thoughts and emotions. So be happy first. Go for it. You deserve the best!
Bottom line: You must believe in the power to be happy. There is nothing more powerful in this life than the power of belief. When you can believe that anything is possible, the Incredible You will be front and center. I love the story of the bumblebee, who according to aerodynamic principles should not be able to fly. But the bumblebee believed in his heart that in order to serve his life function, he was going to have to get around and he did it; he flied away breaking a significant belief barrier.
As a child, I believed that I was supposed to be more than what I was experiencing. That belief in my heart, although it laid dormant for years, was always there inspiring me to be better, stronger and wiser. I believe that nothing happens by mistake and so I had to experience a life of non-belief so that when I started to believe, the power of my own belief and faith would be magnified for me and others. When I started to believe in myself and believe that my dreams were possible and not just figments of my imagination, my life really started. I got a new attitude and in so doing put myself in a position to influence my future. I have consistently said that life is 95% attitude and we get to make a choice every day about how we want that day to go. I decide everyday to live with a full glass and an outlook on life that tells me that I can do anything because I believe that I can. I choose to be happy.
Belief is the most passionate gift in life; it is an illustration in our ability to trust. When what we believe is true and what we believe is possible, it will become a truth and possibility for us. I encourage you again to be happy, the Incredible You deserves it!
