5 Ways to Just Do it

For as long as I can remember, Nike has had the slogan 'Just Do It' and each of us recognize that slogan as a mantra of the wills. A desire to be determined to do something great, if you will, to do the things that we believe that we cannot do.

We have seen commercial after commercial where an athlete has accomplished an amazing fete because of the shoes they are wearing....and that got me to thinking. How Incredible would it be if we all pretended we were wearing Nike's each day and began to accomplish our goals with the same fevor as the athlete in the commercial? What if we stopped allowing fear to speak for us and instead choose for freedom to speak? What if we became so elated by the possibility of doing what we set out to do without fear that we just did it?

Just do it.

Many of us have what we would consider viable reasons as to why we must muddle in mediocrity....our family, we don't have enough time, we don't make enough money, nobody in our family has ever done that....STOP...."Excuses are the tools of the incompetent built upon monuments of nothingness and those who specialize in these will seldom amount to any more" (Unknown) ....if you pledged in college, you are familiar with these words, yet so many of us specialize in excuses day in and day out.

Again I ask what would happen if you got out of your own way, burned the box and did it?

Here are 5 ways that you can just do it

1. Believe in yourself

2. Make a non-negotiable decision

3. Study to show yourself approved

4. Speak only words that lead to positive, forward action

5. Take the first step...Martin Luther King, Jr says a variation of faith is taking the first step without seeing the staircase....if you follow the other 4 steps and believe in yourself (recognize that what others think of you is none of your business), make a non-negotiable decision (become fully convinced in your own mind that it can and must be done), study, by reading books and listening to audios in your car instead of the radio and speak what you seek in your life with power, passion and authority...you will be the victor and can proudly rock the Nike's of your choice because you will have done it!
